In The Span of 48 Hours

I experienced two radically contrast emotions in the gap of mere 48 hours. On 13th July an act of cowardice was once again conducted by “some terrorists’’ and the city of dreams, Bombay (I very well know that its Mumbai but I love calling it Bombay) was once again at the receiving end. The priceless blood of the common men was shed on the city roads, people wandered helplessly, in pain, fear, and rage. I witnessed the proceedings via my television set and I was in tears, all the more because I was not able to share my emotions with anyone as I was alone. I was highly enraged by what all happened but I have no right to blame or question anyone as I am not doing anything for the same. Well I can’t do anything and that’s why I feel my emotions are in vain. This is so, as only when one’s emotions can transform into action, only then they are just. All my friends and family called, messaged me about my well being and after that we all carried on with our daily routine. Now when I think about what I felt, I feel as of my emotions were making a fool out of me as I am the same, bloody ignorant resting my ass at home. I hated being me and questioned my emotions and their justness.

The second emotion which rushed within me was when I finished watching “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’’. It made me fell in love with my life and my being all over again. I felt less burdened of the fact what all is going around me, my own struggle to find my foothold, the misery of the beggar I observe at the traffic signals, the shopkeepers sitting in smallest of the small shops trying to earn their livelihood, the dabbawalas (Lunch suppliers) rushing with loads of lunch boxes, the crowd hanging at the local trains’ doors, the people living in filthy lodges and huts made of asbestos sheets, the restlessness of auto rickshaw drivers, people spitting on the road and painting it red, the smell of liquor from the tired labourer, the traffic jams, the noise of the crowd, etc. The film made me realize about all the good that’s around me, the helpful Bombay people, the beach, Marine drive, skyscrapers all across the city, and the dreams in the eye of every walker on the Bombay roads, and positivism and life in the hustle-bustle of the city. The film shook me up and instead of walking, urged me to run towards my dreams. I know they are standing around the corner with all arms stretched just to embrace me with a warm tight hug. I am coming...

Girl at the bus stop

First encounter:

I was standing at the bus stop staring at this girl dressed in navy blue tee and a pair of black jeans. She was one hell of gorgeous chic..yaa you got to see her to believe me. Anyways, while I was looking at this girl, she had a certain charm which mesmerised me so much so that I am forced to write about her. I wanted to compliment her, as it’s in my nature, I can’t stop myself from complimenting the other person (only if the person deserves it). Usually I am very confident in talking to any stranger irrespective of their gender but this girl was something else. I walked towards her pretending to read the route numbers written on the edge of the bus stop’s roof. She smelled even better. The perfume was tempting, yes, as if the fragrance is coming from a dish which has been served on my platter. I was feeling good just by standing next to her. All this while my bus (route no. 454) arrived and I hopped on. Later I realised that the girl whom I was admiring at the bus stop is standing just behind me, got to know that just by her scent as it was something else. I turned back and looked here and there in confusion as if trying to locate something and stood facing adjacent to the girl dressed in navy blue tee and a pair of black jeans. I was again feeling good, in fact too good, as I would be spending some more time with this stunning beauty. You must be thinking why I am praising this girl like anything. Ok here is her description: long z black hair, they were so long that they were covering her entire bottom. Big black eyes filled with kohl, highly expressive, deep like the sea of the night. Sharp features, pointed nose and luscious lips. With dusky skin tone. . man. . she possessed a subtle rawness which appealed me a lot. She has something in her which could entice anyone to be in awe of her. Half an hour passed and I couldn’t realize that the bus has already passed my destination. So I again bought the ticket for the extended journey but all in all it was a good ride. Thankfully, on the concerned day, I was not in any kind of a rush. .so it was a great day.

To be contd.

ANNA: Our Hero!

Finally, Anna: the modern Gandhi has come out to be victorious! Yes, the UPA Government has issued a gazette notification to draft the Lokpal Bill. The Bill will comprise of 10 member joint committee of ministers and civil society activists; including our Anna sahib. The inevitable moment arrived at 10: 45am on 9th April, 2011 when a young girl, assisted by Kiran Bedi, gave a glass of lime water to Anna sahib. This resulted in the ending of 4 day long fast, which indeed resulted in bowing out of the UPA Government to the demands of Anna sahib and the billion Indians.

All of this goes to show that the lesson of non-violence, learnt by many of us in class four, is no waste. Me, along with many young and aggressive youth of this country, use to believe that the old-fashioned Gandhian philosophy is no longer relevant in current times. Well, now that Anna sahib has won his first War on Corruption, we all can say that they befit the cause very well indeed.

When I use to watch films like ‘Hindustani’ and ‘Nayak’, I always use to imagine that one fine day, a hero will emerge out of the billion Indians and fight out the deadly but curable virus called Corruption. Today I see that dream half fulfilled as our hero, the Gandhian Mr. Anna Hazare has stood up when it was badly needed. As said by the man himself, “There are more struggles ahead -- getting the bill passed by the Cabinet and by Lok Sabha.” Well, by looking at his will and determination it all must be a mere formality.

If at all the Government of India takes a u-turn or for that matter, causes any impediments in the passing of the Lokpal Bill, than Anna sahib is ready for another similar protest, “If the government does not get the legislation passed, I will hold the national flag and join you people here for another agitation.” After what has happened, I don’t see any problems in passing of the Lokpal Bill as the power of the youth is with our hero, Anna Hazare sahib.

Highly Anticipated Indo-Pak Semi-final

The true essence of the word ‘anticipation’ was seen in the eyes of the cricket fanatics of both India and Pakistan. On 30th March 2011, the whole of India and Pakistan, along with cricket loving people across the world, were glued to television to experience the hardly fought contest between the two gladiators of international cricket. With every ball bowled and every shot played, there was a huge roar in the crowd present in the PCA Stadium, Mohali witnessing the action live.

India played like masters of the game and absorbed the pressure well, as Indo-Pak encounters have always been of high intensity with some fierce battles of bat & ball and the mighty words. As per the cricket pundits, the Indo-Pak match has always been a battle between the stars studded Indian batting line-up and Pakistani competitive bowlers. But this time around it turned out to be an altogether different ball game. With Tendulkar top scoring with 85 and Raina playing a little but useful cameo of 36 in 39 balls, India just managed to score 260. Finally, it was all depended on the Indian bowling and fielding to make sure that India beat Pakistan to play the finals against Sri Lanka.

As always Zaheer bowled like a cunning medium pacer who was miser as far as giving runs to the Pak batsmen was concerned. They had to literally earn each and every run from the sharp and disciplined Indian bowlers. The Indian bowling was well complimented by great fielders like Raina, Kholi, and Yuvraj, which at least stopped 25-30 runs in the field.

The selection of left arm medium-fast bowler Ashish Nehra was highly criticised but Dhoni thought otherwise. Nehra too came to the party with figures of 3 for 33 in his 10 overs. Nehra supported Zaheer and helped in maintaining the pressure on the Pak batsmen. With spinners Harbhajan and Yuvraj bowling in tandem, as and when asked by skipper Dhoni, Pakistan batsmen never looked in command of their innings. With all five bowlers picking up 2 wickets each, it was a collective effort from team India bowlers to all out Pakistan for 231, and winning the match by 29 runs.

We all have seen in the past the aggressive on-field behaviour of the players for instance the all popular battle between Ghambhir and Afridi and another one with Kamran Akmal. But this time around the cricket was played in its true spirit and the team which absorbed the pressure well comes out triumph. Thus, this battle between the cricketing geniuses concluded peacefully, sending a strong message to the diplomats that the common man just wants good cricket match and no war.

JIM MORISSON: A GREAT ARTIST

"A friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself."

"The only time I really open up is on stage. I feel spiritual up there... I don't really feel I've done a complete job unless we've gotten everybody in the theater on common ground."

"I like ideas about the breaking away or overthrowing the established order. I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos, especially activity that seems to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road towards freedom- external revolt is a way to bring about internal freedom."

"There are things known, and there are things unknown, and in between is
The Doors."

"O great creator of being, grant us one more hour to perform our art and perfect our lives."

"If my poetry aims to achieve anything, it's to deliver people from the limited ways in which they see and feel."

"When you make your peace with authority, you become authority."

"I think I was just fed up with the image that had been created around me... and so I put an end to it in one glorious evening."

Jim wanted to change the world and failed. He had been abused by society and abandoned by his fans. He was no longer interested in music and left for Paris to work on his poetry. On July 3rd, 1971, at the age of 27, Jim was found dead at his Paris home by his longtime girlfriend Pamela Courson. There was no autopsy and the exact cause of death was never established.

"When the music's over, turn out the light."

EGO

Hello friends....hmm that's cheezy i know but than i have to start somehow...nevertheless....Ego is one damn thing which is not good to have and at the same time is not good not to have...confused?? well friends there is an old saying that "excess of everything is bad" , same is the case with EGO.For eg: I know a friend who is damn egoistic and its harming him only nobody else as he is waiting for the girl to tell him first as if god forbids she says no than his damn ego will be hurt... I suppose to be the common friend so i know the girl too...she too is very egoistic and is therefore waiting for him to tell her first......Damn this EGO man!! why all this ego....why cant people just say what they want, do what they want, etc without their damn egos?? I cant understand....anyways I also know certain kind of people who are emotional fools and dont have any EGO, which is not good as they never react to any act of disrespect targeted towards them.So the moral of the blog is that a bit of EGO should be there in everybody in order to stand up and say what you want to and do what you want to !!

CASUAL SEX : CAN IT BEGIN A RELATIONSHIP?

I know that this topic is one that is being talked about a lot but than also i want to talk about it as one of my friend told me one incident which i want to share with you guys and want to know what you think about it.Here we go......

My friend was chatting online on yahoo messenger and he came across an unknown girl who told her age 25 years. They did usual chatting. Then my friend asked her phone number which she refused to gave instead she asked his number and he gave it.After three days the girl called him when he was in college. They talked normally,hello.. hi.. how are you?? stuff..then suddenly after knowing that she is alone in her house he said that he is coming.....and he went... obviously with a pack of condoms as they both believed in safe sex.

He reached her street, she was standing there to escort him up to her flat...they went in.For the first half hour or so they both just had normal conversation about each other their past, present and a bit future.. After sometime the moment arrived and they did it...not once or twice but thrice. They stopped after third as they didn't had more condoms.

After it was all over, the girl escorted my friend to the same point at which they first met.She said that it was a good experience.....as my friend was a virgin till that time.... but this is for the first and last time that they see each other and she left.Till date my friend had no contact with that girl.

I have one question in my mind that why she said that they both will not meet again as they both did it out of their own free wish and will so why they cant meet again? Was she afraid that if they do so than they will get into an emotional relationship which she feared?? Was she afraid of commitment??? I really have no answers to these mysterious questions of mine.Do you have?
